Description
Decided to join Challenge # 22 Medusa by DeviantsGallery and drew in Medusa, one of the three Gorgon sisters in Greek Mythology.
Some stories tell Poseidon, the great god of the sea, saw Medusa, once a priestess in Athena's temple. We can conclude or say she was raped right in her goddess' temple thus earning Athena's anger. Turning her beautiful hair into snakes, the once beautiful priestess now became a fearful monster, whose gaze will turn anyone into stone statues. Perseus, one of the great heroes known, slew Medusa with the aid of gods and goddesses (Hermes' sandal wings, Hades' invisibility cap and Athena as well).
I have this version of Medusa some years ago (ehatsumi.deviantart.com/art/DI…) and tried to do her another version. I'm thinking of having her as one of my characters in my comic Dioses (ehatsumi.deviantart.com/galler…)
